JBLM Soldier Guide Workshop 3/4/2022

This training really opened my eyes to see how God really is amazing and how we have been helped through our whole journey. This event taught me how it sometimes is okay to open up to others and that it never is bad to take something off your chest. I learned to help others heal by just listening to them.
___
I learned how forgiving God is. How he is willing to always help you get back to the flock. I’m still not comfortable talking aloud. However, I do have a bit more confidence. I’m trying to be more open and honest with myself, God, and those He puts into my life.
___
I’ve never thought about how I can help people through being open and sharing that experience.
___
I gained a bit more confidence in myself. I feel that I can now communicate my life story better than before.
___
I learned that my story could help others and give hope. I didn’t learn more about God, but I learned more about myself and how I can help others.
___
My biggest gain from this training was my confidence boost. My previous trainings laid a great foundation and gave me an amazing bolster to my faith. I experienced an amazing faith journey this time, much like the first, but I also gained confidence and comfort in community and vulnerability with others.
___
I just really enjoyed my time here and felt a weight come off of my shoulders.
___
I learned how easy it is to effectively communicate my story and how my pain can help others see the light at the end of their own dark tunnel.
___
It helped me see that when I do pray, it’s for purely selfish reasons. I need to connect with God on my own for my benefit, not just to please others.
