West Africa My Story Online Workshop 3/20/2025

I am a pastor, and my life is a testimony of God’s incredible grace. I once lived in a world without knowing Jesus, lost in darkness. I despised Christians, mocked their faith, and rejected the very message that would one day save me. My life was tormented by unseen forces, and I suffered deeply—both physically and spiritually. The grip of the enemy was so strong on my life that I reached the very edge of death.

Then, in my brokenness, Jesus found me. His love pierced through my hardened heart, and I surrendered to Him. But instead of immediate relief, my struggles only seemed to increase. My own family turned their backs on me. They refused to support my education, hoping I would fail. I felt abandoned, rejected, and alone. I questioned God: Why would You call me and then leave me to suffer?

But in the darkest moments of my life, God became the hero of my story. He fought for me when no one else would. He rescued me from the hands of my enemies and lifted me from despair. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, He transformed my life, proving that He is faithful even when everything else falls apart.

For years, I never realized the power of my own testimony. I thought my story was just a series of painful experiences. But through Pastor Jason’s six-week storytelling class with Summit Initiative, I discovered something life-changing—I learned that my story was a weapon of hope for others.

The first time I shared my testimony in a Sunday sermon, I witnessed a move of God like never before. As I spoke, the atmosphere shifted. About 80 people in the congregation, deeply touched, came forward to the altar—some in tears, others with hearts wide open, ready to surrender to Jesus. That day, I realized my story wasn’t just about me; it was about God’s power to redeem, restore, and transform lives.

With this newfound calling, I see the Lord leading me to partner with Summit Initiative to train and equip 15 pastors and ministry leaders to become storytelling facilitators. Together, we will train churches and Christian organizations, teaching believers how to share their own stories in a way that brings hope, healing, and salvation to others.
My journey has shown me that no story is too broken for God to use. The very pain that once tormented me has now become my greatest testimony. If He can redeem my life, He can redeem anyone’s.

Now, I stand boldly, ready to help others step into the power of their own stories—because our stories are not just ours; they are part of God’s greater story of redemption.
