US & Korean Joint Soldier Guide Training 4/7/2023

This was an amazing event. They give the audience opportunities to open up and speak. People gave testimony and the prayer was really good, along with the message.

My understanding of others and the bond with friends not only through trauma but also through the joy of knowing that someone else is here to help and I can also help others.

I found that I am able to talk about uncomfortable subjects about my life effectively. This allowed me to connect with my fellow attendees.

I learned more about myself then what I thought was possible in regards to my faith.

I learned that the view and plan I have for myself doesn’t compare to what God has in store for me. I learned that God loves us all unconditionally and faithfully everyday whether we sin or not. I want to grow more with God and study his word more often.

I felt as though this training gave me a better insight and outlook on life.

I recognized that there were some things in my past that I didn't recognize deeply hurt me. It was released to talk about it even though in the back of my mind I was jokingly questioning why I was trauma bombing three strangers on my birthday.

I learned more about my peers and my chaplain.

I love the experience. I feel like I’m closer to God. I learned that I’m stronger than what I thought.

God's love is abundant, clear, and everlasting. No matter what you have done, or what you are going through, there’s hope. Having faith is the key.

I came here in so much emotional pain and after this event I feel restored, renewed, and refreshed. God forgave me for my sins and lifted the weight of my emotional stress off my shoulders. I allowed him to come into my life and my heart and I can’t wait to see how God’s word and love moves in my life and through me to help others. What an amazing spiritual experience. I’m so thankful for the Korean Summit Family and for Summit and their work. God truly has made an impact in my life through all of them and I will forever be thankful and will always remember them and keep them in my prayers.

I learned how to use my experiences to assist in easing people in theirs. I always valued being able to help people and I’ve been given that opportunity through this event. I’m thankful.

This was the first time in a while I’ve sat and connected with people on deeper levels than just work. I’m confident now that there is power in my story, and now I have friends I can run to when times are good and bad!

I learned that my past doesn’t define me and I can be found by God.

This was my first ever Christian event and I was very looking forward to it. I needed a lot of help from others and I am happy that I was able to find that. Finding not my true self but also trying to connect with God was a sensational moment. Thank you everyone that put effort into this event.

What I learned about God is that he’s always with us no matter what we are doing. What I learned about myself is that I’m not a talkative person. It will make me open up.

I’ve been through a lot. In the midst of suffering, his goodness is there. This stood up to me and I also felt like God was trying to communicate to me to come back to him. To church to be active again and reminded me that he is still with me and never left my side.

I learned that God does his works in his own time. I learned that I need to strengthen my faith and belief in God.

I got confidence that God will always be with me and take care of me.

I learned that God will always accept you and will be there whenever you get lost from time to time. What I learned about myself is that I’m not perfect and I still have a lot of broken pieces to restore. Things will change for me the closer I get to God again.

The Korean’s sacrifice, thankfulness, forgiveness, and appreciation for us here gave me the perspective and appreciation that people want us here and are thankful for us.

I learned that even though you are going through hard times you are never alone.

I’ve been very lonely and depressed while here in Korea and away from my family. Summit has been such a blessing and has helped me stay connected to God and his kingdom in this difficult time.
